Applications are invited for the following Masters Degree programmes to be offered as indicated under each Faculty.
FACULTY OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
Master of Arts in the following areas of specialization

i) Criminology and Criminal Justice
ii) Security Management

Minimum Requirements:
1. First Class or Second Class (Upper Division)
in
(i) Bachelor of Arts in Criminology andSecurity Studies
(ii) Bachelor of Arts
(iii) BSc. Military Science

2. Second Class (Lower Division) in the above disciplines with additional training on relevant options as reflected in recognized certificates which will be considered and elevated as equivalent to Second Class Upper.
3. Any other first degree with initial police training
Nakuru Town Campus(Evening / Weekends)
Nairobi City Campus(Evening / Weekends)

Tution Fees
First Year :Ksh.117,000.00
Second Year:Ksh.123,000.00
Course Duration is four (4) semesters. Study is by coursework and thesis or project (First year is thesis and project research)

INSTITUTE OF WOMEN, GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT STUDIES
Masters Degree in Gender, Women andDevelopment Studies

Minimum Qualification: First degree in Arts in Gender, Women and Development Studies or any other related discipline, with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution. Or applicants with a Second Class Honours (Lower Division) with a working experience of two (2) years or more are admissible.

Njoro, Nakuru and Nairobi Campuses
Duration: 2 years Charges Kshs 117.700
Application fee (non refundable): Kes. 2,000
Commencement: October , 2011 Application forms are available from the office of the Director, Board of Postgraduate Studies at Njoro Campus. Forms can also be obtained from the Nairobi Office (Mara Road, CAFS Centre). All payments should be banked into any bank branch of the following

Application forms can also be downloaded from the university website, www.egerton.ac.ke, but must be accompanied by a banking slip of Kes. 2,000/= application fee.
