Kenyatta University

Applications are invited from qualified applicants for the following programmes which will be offered through Open, Distance and e-Learning mode of study. The entry requirements for each Programme are as shown below:
Programme: Master of Science in Applied Analytical Chemistry
Minimum Entry RequirementsBachelor of Science or Bachelor of Education (Science) Degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or equivalent from a recognized university and studied Chemistry as a major or regular subject. Those with Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Education (Science) with Second Class (Lower Division) or its equivalent from a recognized university and at least two years relevant work experience will be considered.
Tuition East African: -100,000/= p.a.
Non East African:137,000/= p.a.
Statutory Fees: 21,900/= p.a.
DURATION AND PATTERN OF MASTER’S DEGREE COURSES
(i) The Master’s Degree Courses shall extend over a minimum period of eighteen (18) months.
(ii) The courses will be offered by Coursework, Examination and Thesis (or Project where stated)
DURATION AND PATTERN OF POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA COURSES
The Postgraduate Diploma courses shall extend over a minimum period of one (1) academic year, and will be offered by Coursework and Examination.
MODE OF APPLICATION
  (i) Application forms can be obtained from Kenyatta University, Admissions Block, Office No. 12 or at the Regional Centres based in Nairobi, Embu, Nyeri, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu, Garissa, Marsabit and Kakamega on payment of a non-refundable fee of kshs.2,000/= for East Africans and Kshs.4,000/= for non-East Africans. The money may be deposited into any of the following bank accounts:

(ii) Duly completed forms should be returned to the Dean, Graduate School, Kenyatta University P.O. Box 43844 – 00100, NAIROBI, Kenya on or before November 2, 2010. Copies of relevant certificates and application fee receipt MUST be attached to the application form.
