The University of Nairobi, College Of Education and External studies, School of Continuing and

Distance Education, is pleased to invite applications for the following courses commencing in August, 2011.
1. DIPLOMA IN ADULT EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Minimum admission requirements
a) KCSE Grade C or its equivalent qualification or
b) KCE/EACE Division II or its equivalent or
c) KCSE grade C- with a professional certificate recognised by University of Nairobi Senate or
d) An Adult Education practitioner with Division IV and a certificate in Adult Education and Community Development from the University of Nairobi.
2. DIPLOMA IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORK
Minimum admission requirements
a) KCSE grade C or equivalent
b) KCE or EACE DIV III or equivalent qualifications or
c) KCSE mean grade C- with a professional certificate recognised by Senate
3. CERTIFICATE IN ADULT EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Minimum admission requirements
a) KCSE mean grade C- or its equivalent
b) KCE/EACE Division III or its equivalent
c) KCE/EACE Division IV with two years work experience in youth related activities

4. CERTIFICATES IN YOUTH IN DEVELOPMENT WORK
Minimum admission requirements
a) KCSE mean grade C- or its equivalent
b) KCE/EACE Division III and above or its equivalent

Application forms can be obtained from the University of Nairobi main campus Gandhi wing room  G3 or from any of the UON Extra Mural centres in Garissa, Kakamega, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nakuru, Nyeri, Meru, Kisii, Kapenguria and Lokichogio, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs 3000. The application fee may be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT into the UNES/UON Account, Barclays
Bank, Westland’s Branch, A/C No. 03-073-1023948. Bankers’ cheques are also accepted. CASH AND POSTAL ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Application forms can also be down loaded from the University of Nairobi Website: www.uonbi.ac.ke(“admissions”), with evidence of payment of the application fee furnished at the time of the application submission. The completed forms and copies of certificates and application fees receipts must be returned on or before 29th July 2011 to:
