Kenyatta University

1.Diploma in Disaster Management

Tuition fees -
East Africans Kshs. 52,000/- p.a.
Non-East Africans Kshs. 75,000/- p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or Division III OR Mean grade of C- (Minus) at KCSE or equivalent with a Certificate in the relevant area.

2.Diploma in Crime Management and Prevention

Tuition fees -
East Africans Kshs. 52,000/- p.a.
Non-East Africans Kshs. 75,000/- p.a.
Statutory fees Kshs. 19,400/- p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent OR Mean grade of C- (Minus) or equivalent with a Certificate in the relevant area.

3.Bachelor of Science (Tourism Management)

Tuition fees -
East Africans Kshs. 75,000/- p.a.
Non-East Africans Kshs. 106,250/- p.a.
Statutory fees Kshs19, 400/- p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (Plus) or equivalent in any three (3) of the following subjects: English/Kiswahili/Foreign Languages; Biology/Biological Sciences; Geography/History; Business Studies OR Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma of credit pass from a recognized institution and two (2) years work experience.
 
4.Bachelor of Commerce

Tuition fees -

Non-East Africans Kshs. 106,250/- p.a.
Statutory fees Kshs19, 400/- p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Mean grade of C+ (plus) or equivalent with at least C (plain) in Mathematics and English or Advanced Level Certificate with two (2) principals and one (1) subsidiary with a credit pass in Mathematics at ‘O’ Level certificate or Degree from a recognized university OR Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution OR CPA/CPS Part II or equivalent with at least Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE and C (plain) in Mathematics and English.

5.Bachelor of Economics


Tuition fees -
East Africans Kshs. 75,000/- p.a.
Non-East Africans Kshs. 106,250/- p.a.
Statutory fees Kshs19, 400/- p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or Equivalent with at least C+ (plus) or equivalent in Mathematics OR at least two (2) principals and one (1) subsidiary pass at KACE (‘A’ Level) with at least a credit in Mathematics at KCE (‘O’ Level).

6.Bachelor of Science

Mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (Plus) or equivalent in any three subjects chosen from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography with at least grade C (Plain) in Mathematics OR Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE with a Diploma of at least a credit pass in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution OR KACEwith two (2) Principals and one (1) Subsidiary in relevant subjects. In addition, applicants must have obtained Grade C (plain) or equivalent in Mathematics at KCSE.

Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent with C (Plain) in Mathematics and English OR Mean grade of C- (Minus) at KCSE or equivalent with certificate in related field from a recognized institution.
 
8.Bachelor of Information Technology

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (Plus) in Mathematics and English OR Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent with Diploma in Information Technology or related field from a recognized Institution. In addition, applicants must have obtained Grade C (plain) or equivalent in Mathematics at KCSE. In addition, applicants must have obtained Grade C (plain) or equivalent in Mathematics at KCSE.

9.Bachelor of Science (Foods, Nutrition and


Dietetics)

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Mean grade of C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent and at least C+ (plus) or equivalent in two (2) subjects chosen from the following categories:
Alternative A :  Biology, Chemistry, Home Science
Alternative B:  Home Science, Biologica Sciences, Agriculture/Geography/Physical Science
 
In addition, the applicant must have obtained grade C (plain) in Mathematics OR Mean grade C (plain) at KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma in Community Nutrition or related fields from a recognized institution with at least two (2) years working experience.
 
10.Diploma in Nutrition and Health

Tuition fees -
East Africans Kshs. 52,000/- p.a.
Non-East Africans Kshs. 75,000/- p.a.
Statutory fees Kshs. 19,400/- p.a.

Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent. In addition, an applicant must have obtained grade C (plain) in two subjects chosen from the following categories:
Alternative A: Biology, Home Science, Chemistry, Agriculture
Alternative B: Home Science, Biological Science,Geograpy, Agriculture/Physical Sciences
OR Mean grade C- (minus) at KCSE with a certificate in a field related to Nutrition from a recognized institution and two (2) years of relevant experience.

11.Bachelor of Science (Agribusiness Management & Trade)
Tuition fees -
East Africans Kshs. 75,000/- p.a.
Non-East Africans Kshs. 106,250/- p.a.
Statutory fees Kshs19,400/- p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ in Mathematics and in any two (2) subjects chosen from the following alternatives:
Alternative A: Biology, Chemistry, AgricultreGeograpy
Alternative B: Physical Science, Biology,Agriculture/Geography,/Business Studies/Home Science

OR KCSE or its equivalent with two (2) principal passes and one (1) subsidiary in relevant Science subjects OR Mean grade Cplain) at KCSE or equivalent with a 2 year diploma of at least Credit pass in a relevant field from a recognized institution.


NB: Diploma holders from recognized institutions may apply for credit waiver in consultation with their respective schools. Credit waiver application forms are obtainable on request when collecting application form or can be downloaded from Kenyatta University website at www.ku.ac.ke.
MODE OF APPLICATION
(a) Application forms can either be obtained from Kenyatta University, Admissions Block, Room No. 012, Regional Centres located in Nairobi, Embu, Nyeri, Garissa, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu,
Kakamega and Marsabit or be downloaded from Kenyatta University website at www.ku.ac.ke on payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 2,000/- for East Africans and Kshs. 4,000/- for applicants from outside East Africa. This money should be deposited into any one of the following accounts:
