1. Kenya Registered Nursing (KRN)

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS
(i) Minimum age of age 17 years on the last birthday
(ii) Minimum Academic Qualification :-
• KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain) or KCE Division III
• C or Credit in Biology or Biological Sciences C or Credit in English / Kiswahili.
Additional Subjects
C (Minus) or PASS in Physical Sciences /Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics
(iii) Success in institutional interview

Duration: Three (3) Years
Commencement:- September 2011

2.Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology (HRIT)
ENTRY REQUIRMENTS
(i) K.C.S.E Mean Grade C( Minus)or D +( plus) with two years experience as a clerical officer
(ii) C (Minus) in English or Kiswahili andMathematics
(iii) D (Plus) in Biology /Biological Science and any of the following:-Physical science /Chemistry

DURATION:-2 Years
COMMENCEMENT:-September 2011
 
3.Diploma in Information Communication (ICT)

• KCSE Mean grade (C Plain)
• Module I transfer (Full –time)
• Module I full time and part time
• Module II and III full time only

DURATION:-2 1⁄2 Years
COMMENCEMENT:-September 2011
 
4.Counseling Supervision Course (CSC)

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS:
• HTC/VCT Counselor
• 6 months of counseling practice
• Diploma in a relevant field
• Experience in HIV/AIDS field

DURATION:-3-4 months

-March 2012

5.Kenya Registered Community HealthNursing
( In –Service) by Distance Learning) (KRCHN)

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS:
• Must be an enrolled community Health Nurse (KECHN)
• Division III or D+ (PLUS)
• Recommendation letter from immediate supervisor.

DURATION:-E learning 2years.

COMMENCEMENT:-
-September 2011and
-March 2012

6.HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC)

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS:
• Training in Health or Social Sciences (Certificate and above)

DURATION:-
(i) 2 Weeks theory and 2-3 weeks observed practice for non health care workers
ii) 6days theory & 2-3 weeks observed practice for Health care workers

7.Diploma in Clinical Medicine (Child Health &Pediatrics)

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS:
• Be a Registered Clinical Officer with Kenya Clinical Officers Council
• (2) Years working experience after internship.
• Have an academic qualification of KCSE mean grade of C or above or equivalent.
• Fluent in both English and Kiswahili
• Students should be available full time in 18 months duration.

DURATION:-18 Months
COMMENCEMENT:-March 2012.

8.Higher Diploma in medical health Counseling

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS:
• Diploma in Psychological Counseling with at least credit or
• Diploma in any Medical related field or certificate in health related fields backed by experience of 2 years in Hospital setting or
• Holders of degree in Social Sciences or a degree in any Medical field.

DURATION:-2 Years part time
COMMENCEMENT:-March 2012

9.Higher Diploma in Nephrology Nursing

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS:
• KRN or KRN/M, KRCHN or BSCN/BSN.
• Nursing experience of three (3) years at the Registered level.
• Letter of recommendation from their supervisor.

DURATION:-1Year

10.Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS:
• KRN or KRN/M, KRCHN or BSCN/BSN
• Nursing experience of three (3) years at the Registered level .
• KCE division II or KCSE C plain aggregate or an equivalent.
• Letter of recommendation

DURATION:-1 Year
COMMENCEMENT:-March 2012
