Kimathi University College of Technology has established a Nairobi CBD center to offer Post graduate, undergraduate and Advanced Professional Diploma courses. We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following programmes at the Center for October 2011 intake, which will be offered in evening classes (from 5PM) and weekend classes.

1.SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
MSc in IndustrialEngineering & Management

TARGET GROUP
Engineers in all fields interested in management in the Engineering industry & pursuit of Industrial research
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A holder of a Bachelors degree with Second Class honours-Upper Division in any Engineering Field from a recognized University; or an equivalent Engineering degree recognized by the university senate; or Second Class honours-Lower Division with a minimum of 2 years work experience.
DURATION
2 years

DEPARTMENT OF FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
1.Certificate in Coffee Technology and Quality Management

TARGET GROUP
Coffee Factory/Mills Supervisors and Managers, those in Coffee trade, coffee milling establishments, coffee cooperatives and coffee logistics like transportation

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
KCSE with a minimum grade C- must have a minimum of D in Biology,Mathematics, Chemistry, or Physical Sciences Applicants with D+ (plus) with relevant training or experience in the coffee industry will be considered subject to approval by the KUCT Academic Board.
DURATION
6 months

2. Diploma in Coffee Technology and Cupping

TARGET GROUP

TARGET GROUP
Managers / supervisors interested in organizationalleadership & related fields, inpublic or private organizations or pursuit of research & scholarly works.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A holder of a Bachelors & Masters degreesfrom recognized universities, have a minimum of 3 years experience as a manager or supervisor or a position with organizational leadership in a public or private organization.
DURATION
3 years

2. Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in:
- Leadership & Org. Mgt.
- Marketing
- Strategic Mgt
- Finance & Accounting

TARGET GROUP
Graduates interested in Business Administration in the related fields

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A holder of Bachelor’s degree with atleast Upper Second class honours from a recognized University.

OR
A holder of Bachelors degree with a Lower Second class honours from a recognized University with a minimum of 2 years work experience.

2 years

Advanced Professional Diploma Programs These Advanced Professional Diplomas are intended for people with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in related field or other recognizable academic or professional credentials including university credentials or occupy a managerial or supervisory position in public or private organization as well as other individuals with interest in these areas.

Advanced Professional Diploma in County Governance and Administration

TARGET GROUP
Professionals with an interest in Management, Governance & Administration of Counties

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Holders of a Degree or Diploma and a minimum 3 years work experience in national, provincial, municipal, parastatal, NGO, private sector or related managerial or supervisory work.

DURATION
3 trimesters
Advanced Professional Diploma in National Security Management

TARGET GROUP
Uniformed disciplined forces,law enforcement officers, and people interested in security services and/or related work

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Holders of a Degree or Diploma and a minimum of 3 years experience in the uniformed national, provincial, municipal or law enforcement and security services and/or related work
OR
KCSE aggregate grade C+ and grade C (plain) in both Mathematics and English; and a minimum of 5 years managerial or supervisory experience in the related work as stated above.
DURATION
3 trimesters
