Applications are invited from qualified applicants for Full Time and Institution Based mode of study which will be offered in the academic year 2011/2012, beginning in AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER 2011 at Kenyatta University, Embu Campus

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS PROGRAMMES
1.Bachelor of Commerce


Tuition –
East Africans Kshs. 120,000/- p.a.
Non-East Africans Kshs. 175,000/- p.a.
Statutory fees – Kshs. 21,200/- p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.
Mean grade of C+ (plus) or equivalent with at least C (plain) in Mathematics and English or Advanced Level Certificate with two principal passes and a credit pass in Mathematics at ‘O’ Level certificate or Degree from arecognized university OR Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution OR CPA/CPS Part II or equivalent with at least Mean grade of C(plain) at KCSE and C (plain) in Mathematics and English.

2.Master of Business Administration (MBA) with areas of Specialization in:
Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship,
Marketing, Finance, Strategic Management,
Management Information Systems, Project Management and Evaluation.

Tuition fees -
• East Africans: 120,000/= p.a.
• Non East Africans: 150,000/= p.a.
Statutory Fees: 22,700/= p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.
Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Honours (Upper Division) or equivalent from Kenyatta University or any other recognized university. Those with Second Class (Lower Division) and at least two (2) years relevant work experience may be considered.

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION PROGRAMMES
1.Bachelor of Education (Arts) –


Tuition fees -
East Africans - Kshs. 100,000/- p.a.
Non-East Africans Kshs. 140,000/-p.a.
Statutory fees - Kshs. 21,200/- p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.
Mean grade of C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (plus) or equivalent in two subjects of career choice OR Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or Division III at KCE or equivalent or two (2) Principals and one (1)Subsidiary at KACE and be holders of P1, S1, or Diploma in Education from a recognized Institution with at least two (2) years teaching experience after training.

2.Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education.

Tuition –
East Africans Kshs. 72,000/- p.a.
Non-East Africans Kshs. 125,000/- p.a.
Statutory fees Kshs. 21,200/- p.a.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.
Mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE Or Division III at KCE OR Mean grade of C- (Minus) with either a P1 certificate or an Early Childhood Studies certificate from a recognized Institution.

3.Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling

Tuition fees -
East Africans: 120,000/= p.a.
Non East Africans: 150,000/= p.a.
Statutory Fees: 22,700/= p.a.


MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.
Bachelor of Education Degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or its equivalent from Kenyatta University or any recognized institution, OR Bachelor of Education Degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) or equivalent with at least two years of relevant work experience will be considered.

NB: Diploma holders from recognized institutions may apply for credit waiver in consultation with their respective schools. Credit waiver application forms are obtainable on request when collecting application form or can be downloaded from Kenyatta University website at www.ku.ac.ke.

MODE OF APPLICATION

(a) Application forms can either be obtained from Kenyatta University, Admissions Block, Room No. 012, Regional Centres located in Nairobi, Embu, Nyeri, Garissa, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu, Kakamega and Marsabit or be downloaded from Kenyatta University website at www.ku.ac.ke on payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 2,000/- for East Africans and Kshs. 4,000/- for applicants from outside East Africa. This money should be deposited into any one of the following accounts:

(b) Duly completed forms should be returned to the Registrar (Academic), Admissions Block Room 012, Kenyatta University on or before 15th July2011. Copies of relevant certificates, Academic transcripts and original application fee receipt MUST be attached to the Application form.
